Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Cameron Park Early Learning Centre collects, uses, stores and protects personal information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Cameron Park Early Learning Centre (CPELC, we, us, our) is a stand-alone, family owned and operated early learning service.

We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. As an approved education and care service we also have record-keeping obligations under the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, and under the National Quality Framework.
2. What personal information we collect through this website
This website collects personal information only when you choose to submit one of our forms. We collect the following:
Waitlist enquiry form
- Parent or guardian name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Your child’s name
- Your child’s date of birth
- Preferred start date and days of care required
- Any message you choose to include
General enquiry form
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Enquiry type and your message
Employment expression of interest form
- Your name, email address, phone number and suburb
- Qualification, years of experience and the type of role you are seeking
- Whether you hold a Working with Children Check
- Your responses about your approach to early childhood education
- Documents you choose to upload — resume, cover letter and academic transcript
3. Why we collect it
We collect personal information so that we can:
- place your child on our waiting list and contact you when a position becomes available
- answer your enquiry, arrange a tour, or provide information about our service
- progress an enrolment, including the steps required for Child Care Subsidy
- assess an application for employment with us
- meet our obligations as an approved education and care service
If you choose not to provide the information requested, we may not be able to place your child on the waiting list, respond to your enquiry, or consider your application.
4. Information about children
We treat information about children with particular care. Information you provide about your child through the waitlist form is used solely to manage your child’s place on the waiting list and to progress an enrolment. We do not use children’s information for marketing, and we do not disclose it to third parties except as described in section 5 or where required by law.
Photographs of children are only published on this website or on our social media where consent has been provided by a parent or guardian. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
5. Who we may disclose information to
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information to:
- our enrolment and family engagement platform, which we use to issue and manage enrolment forms
- Services Australia and the Australian Government, where this is necessary to administer the Child Care Subsidy
- the NSW Department of Education, in connection with Start Strong Fee Relief
- our regulatory authority, where we are required to report or produce records
- service providers who host our website, email or records, under obligations of confidentiality
- any person or body where disclosure is required or authorised by law
6. Cookies and third-party services on this website
This website does not use advertising cookies and does not run analytics or tracking scripts.
Web fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser makes a request to Google’s servers, which involves your IP address and may be processed outside Australia. This is the only automatic third-party request the site makes.
This website also contains links to external sites, including Services Australia, the NSW Department of Education, Starting Blocks, Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, not by this one.
7. How we store and protect information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Our physical records are held securely at the centre, and access to electronic records is restricted to staff who need it to perform their role. All educators and staff are subject to confidentiality obligations, Working with Children Checks and National Police Checks.
8. How long we keep information
We keep enrolment, attendance and related records for the periods required under the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations. Where information is no longer required and we are not legally obliged to retain it, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or ensure it is de-identified.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you or your child, and you may ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details in section 11. We will respond within a reasonable period. In limited circumstances we may decline a request, in which case we will tell you why in writing.
10. Making a complaint
If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it promptly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
