Waitlist, Tours & Enrolments

When our centre is operating at full capacity a Waiting List Application can be completed for all children seeking a position in the centre.

How it works

From waitlist to first day

01

Complete a Waiting List Application

When our centre is operating at full capacity a Waiting List Application can be completed for all children seeking a position in the centre.

02

We notify you when a position becomes available

When a position becomes available families will be notified at least two weeks in advance.

03

Accept the position within 48 hours

The parent wishing to acquire the position must accept the position within 48 hours of the offer.

04

Pay the enrolment fee — your enrolment form is emailed to you

Once the position is accepted and the enrolment fee of $160 per family has been paid, the online enrolment form will be emailed to complete and orientation sessions will be booked.

05

Complete your online enrolment through Owna

On accepting a position for your child, you will receive an email link to complete an online enrolment through our software partner “Owna”. Additional emails, including direct debit forms will be sent and all information is to be completed before enrolment commences.

06

Government enrolment through Centrelink

Government enrolments through Centrelink will be created and accepted.

Priority is given to families already with us, and otherwise by date of application — so it is worth adding your child to the waiting list early.

Orientation

Settling in, together

The enrolment and orientation is designed to assist children and their families to settle into the centre by becoming familiar with and confident with the new environment.

The process involved is as follows:

  • Families are shown around the centre and introduced to staff and the group the child will be joining.
  • Parents are encouraged to share as much information about their children with staff.
  • All necessary information is provided to families including policies / procedures and the program.

Before and after you start

How orientation works

07

An orientation meet and greet, then a stay and play visit

Before your child’s first day of care, we will arrange an orientation meet and greet with your child’s educators. This meeting will give you the opportunity to discuss your child’s routine and requirements with your educators and get to know each other before commencement. We will then organise another visit where your child will engage in a 1 hour stay and play session to allow them another opportunity to visit the centre before beginning their care.

08

A gentle build-up over the first four days

On your child’s first day of care, we encourage a stay of no longer than 2-3 hours before they are collected. On his/her second day up to 4-5 hours and the third no more than 5-6 hours. By the fourth day we feel, following this process, children will be ready to manage a full day. We understand due to work circumstances this may not be possible, but, if there is flexibility and you do not need to return to work immediately, we strongly recommend this orientation schedule.
